The Dentelles de Montmirail mountain range is an ideal playground for hiking enthusiasts. It’s packed with trails winding between the renowned vineyards of Gigondas, Beaumes-de-Venise and Roque-Alric. One of these trails is the Crête de Saint-Amand. Accessible to all levels, it offers breathtaking views of Mont Ventoux and the Rhône valley. The more demanding Dentelles Sarrasines circuit takes hikers to the peaks of the Dentelles massif, where spectacular scenery and biodiversity are the order of the day. In particular, you’ll be close to Vaison-la-Romaine, a historic crossroads with remains dating back to Roman times.
Among the many possible itineraries in the Dentelles de Montmirail, don’t miss the crossing of the Clapis range, where the contrast between limestone rock and the deep blue sky of Provence is striking. Finally, to enjoy the magnificent panoramas offered by the Dentelles de Montmirail, plan a hike around the Grand Montmirail. These limestone cliffs offer ideal conditions for climbing virtually all year round, with routes that vary in difficulty, enabling everyone to find their own way to the summits.
At Dentelles de Montmirail, novice climbers can try their hand at less strenuous routes, while experienced climbers can tackle more technical climbs, notably the famous Dentelles Sarrasines, where precision and self-control are essential.
Fauna and flora: the ecological wealth of the Dentelles de Montmirail

To get to the Dentelles de Montmirail from our campsite, the shortest route is via the D20. To reach it, take the D90, then the D938 and the D975.
Once you’ve reached the D20, you’ll drive for a few kilometers before rejoining the D18.
